01 - WHAT WE BUILD

Four Things.

Every rep, every session, every week — our work comes back to the same fundamentals that define what this program stands for.

01

Speed & Movement

Acceleration, agility, and body control are trainable skills — not natural gifts. We teach athletes how to move efficiently so every step counts when the game is on the line.

02

Strength & Physical Capacity

Age-appropriate strength training builds durable, resilient athletes. We develop the physical foundation that allows skill to translate under pressure — in games, in season, and across multiple sports.

03

Sport-Specific Training

Physical tools only go so far without sport IQ. We teach the technique, vocabulary, and decision-making that translate directly onto the field — starting with football, expanding from there.

04

Standard & Mindset

The "Gold Standard" isn't just a name — it's the bar we set and hold. Accountability, coachability, and competitive focus are coached as deliberately as any physical skill.

02 - OUR APPROACH

Athlete Development.

We're built around long-term athlete development — the kind that actually shows up on the field when the season starts.

Every Rep Has a Purpose

We don't run drills to stay busy. Every movement, every set, every session is designed to advance a specific physical or cognitive skill. Athletes learn what they're training and why it matters.

Fundamentals Before Everything

Shortcuts in fundamentals create ceilings. We build correctly from the ground up — technique first, volume second — so athletes don't outgrow their own foundation.

Multi-Sport by Design

We train athletes, not sport-specific players. The movement literacy, strength, and mental habits we develop transfer across football, basketball, soccer, track — whatever arena they compete in.

Culture Is the Product

What athletes carry with them after leaving our program matters as much as what they gain on the field. Discipline, coachability, and high standards are built here — not assumed.

03 - CURRENT PROGRAMS

Whether your athlete needs a physical foundation or sport-specific skill development — we have a program built for it.

04 - PROGRAM DIRECTOR

COACH CITOS MARINEZ

Coach Citos Marinez is the driving force behind everything Gold Standard Training does. His approach to youth athletic development goes beyond physical training — he teaches athletes the vocabulary, movement patterns, and mental habits that compound over a career, not just a season.

As Program Director, Coach Citos designs every training block, manages athlete progressions, and personally holds every session to the standard the brand is named for. He believes the biggest gap in youth athletics isn't talent — it's proper instruction. GST exists to close that gap.

FAQs

Who is Gold Standard Training for?

Gold Standard Training is for youth athletes who want to learn football the right way — especially athletes who are newer to the game or want stronger fundamentals. It’s a great fit for developing players, multi-sport athletes, and families who want a structured environment with high standards.

Is this program safe?

Safety is the standard. Football comes with risk — our job is to reduce that risk by teaching modern technique and controlled progressions. We focus on fundamentals-first training so athletes build good habits without unnecessary contact.

Is it too early for my child to start training football?

It’s never too early to learn fundamentals the correct way. Starting with vocabulary, body position, and safe technique helps athletes build confidence and avoid bad habits that can lead to negative experiences later.

What will my athlete get out of this program?

You can expect three things:

Better fundamentals on the field — technique, footwork, and position details that carry into every competition

Athletic development that transfers across sports — speed, agility, strength, and movement skills built for any athlete

Culture and community (standards, accountability, camaraderie)

What if my athlete misses a session or can’t attend one of the dates?

Because this is a group-based program with set dates, we can’t provide make-up or refunds for individual sessions that are missed. If your athlete misses a day, no problem — they can jump right back in at the next session and we’ll get them plugged in quickly. We recommend double-checking the schedule before registering to make sure your athlete can attend.

I have more than one athlete — can I register both at once?

Complete a separate registration for each athlete (one registration per athlete). This keeps rosters, groups, and communication accurate for every player.
