8-Week Youth Football Program Led by Coach Citos Marinez

Built around real tackling vocabulary and progression — long stride, short stride, power step, shoulder punch, and head out — so athletes learn it once and it carries over to the game.

Starts: February 28 (Tackling) | Ages 6–14 | Location: Rowland High School

This video breaks down what the program is.

Not Just Training. A Standard Kids Learn to Live By.

Most youth programs only focus on reps. We focus on developmentteaching athletes how to move, think, and play the game the right way.

Gold Standard Training is built to help young athletes:

🏈 Learn safer fundamentals (especially tackling)

🏈 Build football vocabulary and confidence

🏈 Train with structure and accountability

🏈 Grow into better teammates and better competitors

Football is an incredible sport — but it’s also a sport where technique matters.

A lot of kids struggle early because they’re not taught:

🏈 How to tackle safely

🏈 How to understand coaching cues and vocabulary

🏈 How to train with structure outside of games

This program fills that gap with a simple goal:

teach the game the correct way so athletes stay in the game — and grow in it.

What “Gold Standard” Means Here

Preparation matters.

We train with intention — not chaos. Every rep has a purpose.

Accountability is taught.

Athletes learn responsibility through structure, focus, and effort — because talent without discipline doesn’t last. Every rep is a chance to get better. We coach the rep, not just the result.

Standards stay consistent.

We build habits that show up in games, school, and life. Built around real tackling vocabulary and progression — long stride, short stride, power step, shoulder punch, and head out — so athletes learn it once and it carries over to the game.

The 8 Week Program

A fundamentals-first program built to develop the athlete and the mindset — safe technique, football IQ, strength foundations, and culture.

This isn’t a one-day clinic. It’s an 8-week structured program designed to build real confidence and real habits. This program starts with vocabulary and fundamentals, then builds week by week into more game-realistic tackling reps. Athletes learn how to track the hips, control their approach (long stride → short stride), close with the power step, and make safe contact with the shoulder punch — head out. We keep groups organized by age/body type so athletes learn faster and stay safe.

FAQs

Who is Gold Standard Training for?

Gold Standard Training is for youth athletes who want to learn football the right way — especially athletes who are newer to the game or want stronger fundamentals. It’s a great fit for developing players, multi-sport athletes, and families who want a structured environment with high standards.

Is this program safe?

Safety is the standard. Football comes with risk — our job is to reduce that risk by teaching modern technique and controlled progressions. We focus on fundamentals-first training so athletes build good habits without unnecessary contact.

What makes this different from a one-day clinic?

This isn’t a one-and-done clinic. It’s an 8-week structured program. The difference is progression: athletes improve because we build week-to-week, reinforce coaching points, and develop real habits — not just run drills once.

Is it too early for my child to start training football?

It’s never too early to learn fundamentals the correct way. Starting with vocabulary, body position, and safe technique helps athletes build confidence and avoid bad habits that can lead to negative experiences later.

What will my athlete get out of this program?

You can expect three things:

🏈 Higher football IQ (vocabulary + coaching cues),

🏈 Better fundamentals on the field (technique + position details),

🏈 Culture and community (standards, accountability, brotherhood).

What should my athlete bring?

Bring athletic training clothes, cleats (if you have them), sneakers, and a water bottle.

QB athletes: bring a notebook + pencil.

What if my athlete misses a session or can’t attend one of the dates?

Because this is a group-based program with set dates, we can’t provide make-up or refunds for individual sessions that are missed. If your athlete misses a day, no problem — they can jump right back in at the next session and we’ll get them plugged in quickly. We recommend double-checking the schedule before registering to make sure your athlete can attend.

I have more than one athlete — can I register both at once?

Complete a separate registration for each athlete (one registration per athlete). This keeps rosters, groups, and communication accurate for every player.
